New year, new post

I am so terrible at blogging but whatevs.  It's all good!  Most of 2013 was kind of in the craps so I am really glad that we are done and over with 2013 and are moving on to 2014.  I already know it will be sooooo much better cause Danny and I will be welcoming a little BOY!!!  We are so excited about our new little addition and just can't wait to see what this little ninja looks like!

I think its hard to catch up and most of what we have been up to so I am just going to post pictures of some of the year.

Danny graduated from BYU in April so in May we decided it would be so fun to go on an awesome vacation to Hawaii with great people, 10 of us to be exact.  It was a great last hoorah for Jordan and his friends Kyle and Janson, before heading off on their missions.  We spent 9 days in paradise stuffing our faces with amazing food, swimming, and experiencing all the fantastic things Hawaii has to offer!  We also got to celebrate Natalie graduating from high school!

At the end of June Danny and I had to go to Denver to go apartment hunting and thought we could make a little trip out of it.  Samantha and my mom came along, which was great because we definitely needed help picking where we wanted to live.  It was great having that time with them, even if we weren't there for a "fun" reason.

In July Danny's aunt, cousin and grandma came out from Indiana and we were able to hang out with them while they were visiting.  We decided since they were visiting it would be fun to tell them we were expecting (even if it was pretty earlier).  It was great to be able to tell them in person!  We didn't want my family to be left out either so we told them on the 4th of July.  It was fun to be able to share the news with them, but also emotional, well just because my hormones are cray cray.

August was a pretty hard month for me mostly.  I felt like I had done a pretty good job being in denial about
moving, but the closer it got and when we actually starting packing I was a mess.  I don't think I wore any make-up leading up to the move because I pretty much cried everyday.  I know people move far away from family and things that are familiar all the time, but it felt especially hard to me to leave.  I love my family something fierce and it was tough to think about not seeing them everyday.  But we made it Denver and haven't imploded yet, so that is good! About 2 weeks after moving I was able to go back to Utah to be there when Jordan when through the temple the first time.  It was such an amazing experience to be there for that special time in Jordan's life.

Danny and I had about three weeks of free time before he had to start work.  It was fun to have that time but also kind of sucked cause we had no money to go on adventures.  So we just spent our days at the swimming pool, working out and watching movies like crazy.  Once Danny started work, it was kind of hard for me to want to really do anything so I just worked and hung out alone.

My saving grace though has been our amazing friends the Warrens.  We met Virginia and Cameron at an elders quorum activity and I just knew they were people I wanted to be friends with.  Virginia introduced me to the dollar section at target, which is AWESOME!!  We have found some pretty awesome things in that section.  To the dismay of our husbands we maybe spend a little too much time at target.

From September on has mostly consisted of watching a lot of football, growing a little boy, FaceTiming family, mentally preparing for Jordan's mission, hanging out with Virginia, my family selling their house and a lot of other family things.  It has been stressful, fun and hard but again I am really glad that 2014 has a lot of promise!
