July 11, 2010

July 11, 2010 several things were going on that day.  The final game of the mens world cup was being played and my grandparents were celebrating their 60th anniversary early because my aunt and uncle were in town.  I had been looking forward to the events for quite sometime.  I was excited to see who was going to win the world cup and the food we were going to be eating.  However, looking back I can't even remember who won the game and the only thing I can remember about the food was the watermelon.  The reason why I cannot remember any of these things I was looking forward to is because I experiencing my own little "party".  The morning of July 11 Danny and I went to church with my friend Amanda, because her church started at 9 in the morning and we didn't want to miss the world cup!  The day started out just fine.  Danny and I took my car from carriage cove, went to sacrament meeting and was home in plenty of time to watch the game.  I started feeling a little funny during the game but really did not think a thing about it.  After the game finished we all got ready to go to my aunt Julie's house.  Danny and I decided to drive seperately so that we could just drive straight home from the dinner.  On the way there I was having a really hard time catching my breath.  I felt like my airways were starting to close off.  Danny was all concerned because the closer we got the worse it seemed to get.  Being the adorable protector he is he made sure I was going to tell my mom what was going on.  We got out of the car and it seemed like the moment I opened my mouth to tell my mom it hit me full speed.  I was having these "episodes" every 5 seconds and I really could not catch my breath I felt like I was going to die right then and there.  Of course it wouldn't be a Butler family get together if something exciting didn't happen, so I am laying on my aunts front yard bawling like a baby and stuggling to breath.

Danny and McKenna's first post!!

Danny and I met in April 2010.  My roommate was good friends with his girlfriend.  I still remember the very first thought I had when I saw him for the very first time, "Of course, the only cute guy at Carriage Cove and he is taken."  I was sad that he was unavailable so I decided I could live with being just his friend.  For the first few weeks we didn't talk a whole lot.  It wasn't until the ward opening social that I felt like maybe just maybe I could have a chance.  His girlfriend met up with him at the social, so Melissa (my roommate) hung out with them.  We could tell that something was going on because he was acting a little funny towards her, so we really felt like something was going to happen.  We didn't want to get wet, because the social was a water themed activity, so we decided we were going to go back to our apartment and watch 500 days of summer.  The movie is all about breaking up, we didn't think anything of it at the time but looking back now it's pretty ironic we choose to watch it that particular night.  Right after we watched the movie I guess Danny broke up with his girlfriend.  It wasn't until like a week later that I knew what had happened.  I am not going to lie I was pretty dang stoked about it!!!
