doTerra essential oils

Several weeks ago my beautiful sister Kim told me about doTerra, these amazing essential oils.  I was kind of skeptical about all of the cool things she was telling me that they would do for me.  But they sounded cool enough that I agreed to go to a party that she hosted at her house.  Before the party she had her friend, who works for doTerra, give some people Kim knew samples of oils to try.  Danny has been suffering from a skin condition so we wanted an oil for that, and I have some anxiety so I wanted an oil for that.  I came home with the samples and Danny was less than happy to try them but after pinning him to the ground and forcing the oils on his face he was sold!  Within 2 days Danny's face looked the best I have EVER seen it!  He has literally been trying everything from hydrocortizone cream to his dad's medicated cream and nothing was working, if anything it was making it worse!  I could not believe how fast the oil worked and that they even worked at all!  Best part was his skin still looks amazing the skin irritation hasn't come back at all!!

After Kim's party I knew that I couldn't live without getting some oils.  I literally wanted to buy the entire inventory of oils! However, I definitely can't afford to buy all the oils I settled with getting myself a family physician kit, pastTense and deep blue rub just to start with.  I wanted to share some of the successes I have had so far.

PastTense has been a lifesaver.  Danny always gets headaches and nothing seems to ever help so I got him this and it works great.  My sister wrote a great post on pastTense you can read that here.  All you do is roll it on your forehead or put it on the back of your neck and in minutes your head will instantly feel better.

Lavender has been a great one.  This may be TMI but I have really bad razor burn under my arms.  So bad that I literally will not raise my arms if wearing a swimsuit or short sleeve shirt short enough to see my underarms.  I put the lavender on my underarms and at the end of the day you couldn't even tell that there had been any razor burn!

Peppermint is so great for staying alert.  My mom gave my dad some peppermint to take to work and I was just feeling like I was going to die I was so tired.  I went and put some peppermint on my forehead and instantly it was like I got a power nap without having to sleep and interrupt my work.

Melaleuca is what Danny put on my face.  Works so great I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Breathe is by far my favorite!  I don't know how I have gone this long without this oil.  Especially at this time of the year when it seems like someone with a cold will look at me funny and I will instantly get a cough.  I just put a little under my nose and on my throat and I feel soooo much better.  I can breathe amazing and my cough will be under control if not completely gone.

DigestZen is another one that is great.  I get stomach aches like there is no tomorrow.  I don't know why but my stomach literally always hurts.  I just put a couple drops on my tongue, sip some water and ,voila, all better!

On Guard is another great one for this time of year.  Whenever Danny or I have felt sick we just put a couple drops under our tongues and in the morning those achy sick feelings are gone and we are all good and healthy.

Deep Blue Rub has been so great for Danny.  After a long day of snowboarding he will come home rub some deep blue on his sore legs and all is good!  For about year now I have had a super bad pinched sciatic nerve and it hurts something fierce.  Whenever I am laying down on the floor I am hit with paralyzing pain.  So the other day Danny was rubbing my back and found the pinched nerve.  I told him to get the deep blue and rub it on the area and literally within minutes I felt better than I had in a year!!

These are just a few of the oils that I have tried but doTerra has soooo many more that do great things!! If you want to read a little bit more about the oils you can read Kim's blog here.  She is even more in love with the oils then I am!

To tell or not to tell?

A couple of weeks ago I was with my mom and Sam driving to Sam's soccer practice.  We got to the field kind of early so we were the only ones there other than the coach who was driving around the field.  This field is in a really weird area surrounded by a ton of weeds and random ravines.  My sister saw that her coach was driving around the field and told me to follow him.  I didn't really think anything about it because I just assumed he was picking a good place to park.  Well it wasn't until he parked in an area with a good "peeing hiding place" that I realized what he was doing.  As we stopped behind his car he walked up to my window with this really awkward look on his face and told us that he would meet us on the other side of the field and to go ahead and go over there now.  By this time I am laughing because I know exactly what is going on.  So of course when we drive away I just have to inform everyone in the car what his intentions were.  My mom is dying of embarrassment and little Sam and her friend are beyond mortified.

Of course the coach couldn't just let our imaginations run wild and allow to think what we will, he decides that it is important that we know what was going on in the ravine.  I honestly believe that if my mom hadn't been there he wouldn't have said anything, but for whatever reason he tells her everything.  So after finishing his business he comes up to my car and proceeds to tell us how he did in fact need to pee and he was freaking out that we were following him and what not.  I have never felt more awkward in my life then I did sitting there having a grown 45 year old man tell me that he peed on a bush.

Zachary Carter Stanford

Zachary Carter Stanford was born on May 11.  He is the cutest little boy I have ever seen in my entire life! No joke!! Since day one he has been making the funniest faces I have ever seen any person make let alone a baby! He is such a happy baby and he is rarely sad.  Except for at work when he is forced to sit in a bouncer all day:) But the bouncer does have music now so its more fun! Here are some pictures of the cute little guy!

This is the day that he was born!  He literally stayed awake since the time he popped out until bed time!

8 months of pictures...

Wow! It has been forever since I have blogged.  That last post by Danny was just too good to beat.  But instead of writing a huge long blog of the happenings I will just post a shiz load of pictures and stuff! Enjoy!

So my parents were selling some sweet kitchen cabinets and I had the awesome idea of turning them into a TV stand.  I think it turned out pretty sweet!

Black Friday Crazy Woman

This is Danny. McKenna blogs a lot, but I don't. But I feel the need to tell you this, so you know it's gonna be a good story.
I was standing in Wal-Mart for the 10:00 p.m. black Friday sale. That is probably where I went wrong. Anyways...we wanted some Kinect Games, so I was standing next to the pallet of games that we wanted. I made some friends with the people standing next to me. I was having a casual conversation with some nice moms that love their kids enough to wait an hour or so in crazy Wal-Mart for a game (a game that they have no idea has tons of blood and killing).
At 9:50 p.m. I knew it was getting close to "go time" and it was getting really crowded. I was expecting some call on the intercom or something, but I guess someone in a far away place somewhere inside Wal-Mart screamed "Go" freaking loud and it set off a chain of madness-- straight up domino effect all through the store in less than a minute. Next thing I knew, a mom that was kind and sweet two minutes ago jumped on my back and tried to throw me out of the way, hitting the back of my head with some part of her body in the process. So I stood up hard and ended up squatting her into the air. I turned around and said, "Are you kidding me, lady?" With the most devilish look on her face and in the most evil tone ever she said, "No! I'm not!" And somehow she said it with a smile on her face...a face I will never forget. P.S. she had a gorilla nose. Sadly she got her stupid game, a game that wasn't even a hot item that other people wanted. She thought she was getting the latest Call of Duty, but it was so old that no one else wanted it.
A few minutes later I saw her again on my way to find McKenna. I turned to her said something I am proud of. I said, "Woman, you are insane." She just smiled again like she did earlier and then lied to me saying, "Yeah, and you punched me in face." I laughed and thought, "Hm...maybe insane ladies think that punching someone in the face is code for getting thrown into the air." In the end, she got her game and I got mine, but at least I didn't lose my self-respect, dignity, and lots of other things all for a $15 outdated game that my kids won't even like. Oh yeah, and at least I am not mentally unstable either.
That is all. Thanks for reading my story. I feel better now.

Oh just what I did with my spare time...

This week my dear friend/roommate Melissa is getting married!! Its so exciting I am incredibly happy for her.  I told her I would make her bouquet and I think it turned out pretty dang cute if I do say so myself!! I am really proud of it...maybe I should go into the crafty business. Pahah ya right.  I also decided that I wanted to make myself a new skirt so I could wear it to her wedding.  So I did its a little big so I will need to fix it but its adorable and has pockets and it only took me about 3 hours!! (In that time I also watched glee and new girl) So I basically feel really cool!
